Same ol' header questions? Ok fellas, here's the deal. I have a friend who is about to buy headers soon, when he gets back from over seas. He owns a 98 Z28. He has the basic mods of a lid, Borla cat back, cut out and thats about it. I personally like the FLP's. He is leaning a little towards the Mac long tubes. I have heard some horror stories of installing the MAC's. Bottom line, give me some input on headers, and what the difference is with long tube and shorties. All that good stuff. The more info, the better guys! Thanks!

Re: Same ol' header questions? FLPs are nice if you want to spend the money. On a stock internal car, you won’t gain much with them over macs. Macs are very well priced with an ORY.

Re: Same ol' header questions? I have the Mac mid lengths and I like them. Don't get me wrong, they were a mother f&%#er to install, but that's over with now and I have a big grin every time I crank it up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . I'm pretty sure all headers are gonna be a bitch to install though. Macs are probably the best choice if $ is a concern at all. Especially with the ORP. Let your buddy know that he will have an assload of rasp with the borla catback and Macs if he chooses to go this way. I have it from 2200-2500 RPMs. I don't mind it that much because above this range it just sounds mean. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
