cats hard to install? i want to purchase headers badly but i want to save money too. to get headers without the cats is a lot cheaper than getting them with the cats. i was wondering when i had to go through emissions, how hard it would be to replace the srtock cats just for that day. after reading all the header posts i was thinking either SLP or FLP longtubes. thanks

Re: cats hard to install? You can’t put the stock cats back on once you do headers unless you weld them back in, or remove the headers and put the stock manifolds back on.
If you order the FLPs you will get interchangeable cats and ORPs.

Re: cats hard to install? There is an option that you could try. Ask your welder to put flanges on your cats and on the pipes where they go. This will cost a little for now (I would think less than $100), but in the future, should you have to change them out, you could just unbolt the extension, and bolt in your cats for the inspection...
