I had manifolds/TDs on my '02 Z for a while with no cats and 1-chamber Flows. Damn loud, but it was the perfect sound. I vote for TDs. A cutout before the muffler isn't that loud with cats, but decently loud without cats.

I used to have macs/ory/cutout, now have pacesetters/duals/1 chamber flows and the duals are much louder than the open cutout......MUCH louder. Besides it being louder, it's a much better sound as well....no more rasp. Go duals, you won't regret it!

my only reason for considering the cutout is being able to quiet it down for my frequent 3 hour interstate drives, but if it doesnt come close to duals when open, its not an option

i have stock manifolds with no cats and a cutout on the I, and it is very loud. the great thing about the cutout is you can close it. i can't see it not being loud enough for you.

Do yourself a service sometime and take it for a spin with open headers.

The throttle response is enough to make you never want an exhaust!!!!!

I see dual cutouts on the Y in my future.

open headers is suppose to give great throttle response in town, but u take it for a drive on the interstate, and when u end up back in town it would drive like **** wouldnt it
