Default FTRA question?

I read somewhere that I should remove the rubber strip that goes in-front of the lid that came with the FTRA kit. Is this true? I thought the purpose of that was to create a pressurized area.

Default Re: FTRA question?

I thought the same thing.
One day I took soemthing apart and forgot to put it back in. I then made a post about it to find out that WILWAXU "john" I believe his name is, is running his car without the rubber strip and he has no problems running 11.6 at 114 with his car. I believe he might even of had stock internals as well, I am not sure.
I guess the turbulance that I once read about was a myth? If anyone can prove me wrong I will go back. I just seemed as though I had pretty hard core proof that more was better after talking to john.

For me, with my ram air hood.. it works best with it wide open... Your results may vary <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

BTW: Yes, stock internals <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
