It's me again guys, just a updated login from work as well as home. I don't understand how you can say that the stock type throttle bodies can flow enough CFM, I've heard the stock modified throttle bodies can flow over a 1000 CFM, but do not know how accurate that is. There are a lot of Mustangs making mucho power with single butterfly throttle bodies. Most of the 1600HP-2200HP Turbo or blower cars use only a 90MM throttle body. I have a 90MM throttle body made by Wilson Manifolds for a Mustang 5.0 i can provide you for mock up purposes which would be a cery cost effective alternative to the Dual Throttle Blade oval design i.e. $200 instead of $350-$400. I would be intersted in this type of manifold as I am building a 427 with the C5R block, and LQ4 heads which will be a Forced Induction engine.

Does anyone have the pics of the intake? The original link does not contain any. Also, has there been a price determined yet? I am/was planning on the Speed Inc sheet metal intake in October, but if this one is better I will do it.

I think it's a great idea and would definately consider one for my stroker. I'd say keep the price under 1k and you'll get a lot of interest as long as it produces.
Only comment I have is, ditch the EGR.

TTT. How bout a price range? I think being able to use the stock TB or a BBK unit is a huge plus like previously stated. Just for the reason of being able to mate it up to the air lids currently being used. I will want to use one on a SERIOUS 346 motor that i'm looking into building, so let's get this started and show some results

First of all, I'd like to give WR4F a virtual pat on the back for having the huevos to do something as risky as building what he knows to be a low-volume piece, yet still doing his reasearch, and getting "user" input during the design phase.

Second of all, as I understand it, the whole purpose of considering a dual-blade TB is in the name of keeping the plenum compact enough to fit under the cowl on the F-cars. My only suggestion is to devise a way for the stock throttle/ASR/cruise control/etc... to be retained. Whether it's adapter brackets for use with an off the shelf LT1-style TB, or whether it's a separate product offering, or whatever.

I just think that it would be easier to sell if people didn't have to mess around with fabricating throttle linkage, removing their cruise control, etc...

Just my $.02... in any event, a big thumbs up to WR4F and crew. If I ever decide to go big or get blown, I'll keep you guys in mind!!

So would this be worth my time for my heads/cam 346?? I don't know what the definition of a "serious" 346 is, but I assume heads with a big fat cam qualifies

I'm assuming I'd lose quite a bit of low end torque, which may make daily driving with this manifold less attractive.

Just wondering how the buildup is coming along and if you have any new pics or ideas on pricing?

I love this intake, forget engine size for its practical usage, this is about runner length and minimum rpm. The picture should shows a good runner length compromise, shortening them for cowl considerations would take all but max effort 346's out of the picture. The plenum volume could be adjusted by using bolt on stuffing block to inside of lid, this could easily be tailored to minimum wot rpm.I say make this manifold as close to the picture design as possible, with cowl trimming as the plan, as long as mods dont require disturbing the windshield i'm interested!

I was at lingenfelters shop to drop of my dads vette and we took a tour. They had a 02 Z28 with a C5R 427 in with a sheet metal intake with twin it looked like ported stock throttle bodies. It was going to run twin MAF sensors also. The car was soooo bad *** it had a bottle on it too supposed to make over 800hp

i am intrested in the intake, however it should be lower that a $1000 or you are wasting you time. i am building a solid cam 346ci engine and i really need an intake that will pump more air to the engine...if the price is good you can count me in

When you get one ready to install, let me know and I'll be happy to do the testing for you. My BIG motor needs an intake

PS, I just saw this thread for the first time. Most stroker owners don't check this section too often because they already have ALL of the bolt-on parts....
