Anyone running longtubes with stock catback??
Re: Anyone running longtubes with stock catback?? I have Hooker LT's and ORY-pipe, with stock exhaust and a Zed style cutout. With the cutout closed it sounds almost dead stock. With it open it's about as stock sounding as a NASCAR.
Anyone running longtubes with stock catback?? My setup: Hooker long tubes and ORP, 3" I-pipe with cutout (stock is 2.5"), stock Z28 muffler and tips. How will this sound with the cutout closed? Any louder than stock? Any rasp? Would I gain anything by going to a dual/dual or 2OTL? Thanks, Shawn

Re: Anyone running longtubes with stock catback?? hey shawn, i dont know if you remember but i have flps to the stock catback. i imagine the 3" I will make it louder though. i thought my setup was really loud. could have been the massive exhaust leak from the Y to the I though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
i bought a dual dual for purposes of deepining the tone a little, and better flow (stock ones suck). ill let you know the sound difference though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
oh yea, i get a little rasp, nothing like when the cutout is open though.
