Default installed FLP's - now SES light

I installed FLP headers on my '00 WS6 Friday, and 15 minutes after my install the SES light came on and has stayed on since then. Every time I start the car the light comes on and stays on...

I went to autozone and had them check the codes w/ their scanner. (I have atap coming within the next week.) The codes are:

P0140 - HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 2

and

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient

I have O2 sims supplied by FLP that I used. Could someone tell me which sensor or sim "bank 1 sensor 2" is?

Also, I bought a used EGR pump/system from a guy's '99 and he told me it worked fine. Could it be broken?

I've been driving the car around for the last couple of days and it runs great.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Aside from the stupid y pipe banging the floorboard on the drivers side it's fine.

Thanks,
Rob

Bank 1 Sensor 2 is your passenger FRONT 02 sensory. I guess make sure it's connected correctly. I don't know about the EGR as I don't have EGR on my 2001 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Sorry.

If you removed the EGR tube from the TB when installing the headers check to see that the o-ring on the EGR tube was re-installed correctly. Good luck and keep us posted.

I'd check the connection on the driver side O2 simm or swap the passenger side and driver side simms and see if the code follows. You may just have a bad one.

Are you sure that the EGR connections are all tight with no leaks, etc?

i dont know if you fixed the problem yet, but i had the same problem...I know that for the 01's at least you need the sims with 4 wires not 3. If you had 3, like i did, you get the insufficient activity code for both.

Bank 1 Sensor 2 is your driver's side rear O2 (sim). It's either improperly connected or just junk. Double check all connections make sure nothing is loose. If you had a leak on the connection to the flange on the header for the EGR, you should be throwing an 1133 or 1153 code because the cold air would hit the front O2.

RUALS1: Yep, same here, I had <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> 3 wire sims.

Robert P: Do you have the 4 wire sims with a little LED light? PN#104033
