dynoed over 400+ RWH through Corsa

Very impressive Joe...
But why the low tq number for an unlocked verter?
What are u hoping for ET/MPH?
JS

Hey Joel, I NEVER care/cared about MPH. I only want the car to trap well. We will be looking for 11.3's or lower in good weather, and 11.5 or lower the rest of the year. If it crosses at 115 or 120 is irrelavant TO ME. I have no idea about the torque numbers.

As far as the Corsa goes, I've had my eye on that exhaust since it came out. But I still haven't heard it. I'm considering doing a custom loudmouth exhaust except with a bullet in place of the resonator for about $200. It should sound really mean with the headers and cam. I know it will be loud and rumbly but maybe not race-car. Are you guys saying that the Corsa sounds $500 better than what the 'bulletmouth' will sound like? I want the exhaust to turn heads bcause it sounds good, not because it is loud. I want something that is distinguishable from the rest. Everyone around here has cutouts or the loudmouth and it could be a thirty year old truck for all you know until you see it..
BTW, what LSA did you go with on the TR 224?? TIA- Mike W.

I've never seen a low tq number like that from an unlocked converter.
They are impressive numbers for your car
Good luck...

To give you an idea, my brother took a pretty poor camera to the 1/8th mile at the track. All you can hear is my car. It just drowns everything out. In reality it's very very loud behind the car. I have cats and no cutouts.

I get asked in the pits all the time what is that exhaust, sounds sweet, awesome looking tips, etc. It is purely distinct from everything else that is around. I get nothing but compliments and some people are even in awe because it's fairly tame just loping in the staging lanes.
I think I'm one of the only ones on the west end of the state that even has this setup. And I haven't seen too many over in Detroit either (not saying they aren't around). Basically you're not going to find them everywhere. On the other hand SLP Dual/Dual, Loudmouth, etc. are all over the place and they all sound the same. Nice, but sounds the same none the less.
Just my $.02 worth, I love the sound.

I can't speak for all Long Tubes but the SLP's really didn't do the package justice. When we switched over to the Macs we picked up 20 or so RWTQ. It was well worth it. I gained clearence and performance. The damm Mac rasp sucks though.

I had a rasp too. Denny @ Mufflex installed Carsounds for me, its gone now and I don't think I lost any power at all. The sounds is much better and more refined now. Then again, I have a stock cat-back w/ cut-out, the ultimate low-buck set-up....
