Default Oil leak and Clutch problem

My 02 TA WS6 M6 barely has 6000 miles on it, but because of racing I have a problem now.

I got my corsa exhaust today and when i installed it i noticed that my car has an oil leak by the rear differential.

The clutch pedal also seems to be rougher for some reason. When I take my foot off the clutch pedal, I feel like the clutch pedal is scrapping on something causing it to be rougher that it really was.

My friend says that it could be from a throttle bearing problem. What should I do ? how can I prevent that from re-occuring?

I just had to race a dude in a black vette and now all this happened ... oh well at least i can say I was nose to nose with an 01 C5 until he stopped on 3rd gear even though HE punched it FIRST!. All I had on was a Intake Lid, and a y-pipe.

Guess he was just a bad driver.

Please give me some advice on what to do with my oil and clutch problem.

It is time to go see the dealer. I hear that 02's are a lacking on the quality side of the house.

I agree.. dealer time. I dont think they will hassle you much for an exhaust and lid. Take it on down to the dealer, have em fix her up.

I dont know about the 02's having problems on the "quality side of the house." But I would take it to the dealer too. Get it fixed and keep running her. I have an 02' Z28 and have 4,000 miles on her with over 60 passes at the strip with her. She hasn't skipped a beat. Stock clutch still intact. I do know that the clutches in the F-body's aren't the stongest thing in the drivetrain. So it wouldn't suprise me if it was going bad. Ask the dealer about the Z06 clutch, they are supposedly replacing all of the defective F-body clutches from 01 and 02 with them? They are swaping the clutch and the slave cylinder supposedly. Just what I have heard? More info is on this site somewhere? Good Luck!

Well, I'm not sure if this is a joke thread or not as there is no such thing as a "throttle bearing". I think what you mean is a "THROW OUT BEARING" in the clutch assembly. But that wouldn't lead to a scraping noise but more of a buzzing/squeaking noise. It'd also vibrate through the clutch pedal noticeably.

As to the differential, is it leaking from the front or back? The front would be something best left to them to fix under warranty. If leaking from the back cover, you could do that in your driveway by simply replacing the gasket and re-filling the pumpkin after bolting the cover back on.
