Default What do you notice after LTs?

For those who have installed a set of Long Tubes:

What have you noticed overall with the car? Sound, Acceleration, Torque, drivability?

What changes did you like and dislike after the install?

The louder, deeper sound more than anything. I thought it felt faster, but that was more my mind wanting me to think it was worth all that money

Where do you notice your power gains? Low, middle, or high end on a stock cam?

I noticed it pulls a lot harder up top but it's noticeable through the whole band like stated above.

I would say power wise it felt minimal back when I had a stock cam but the sound makes it worth it IMO. With the different cam I know it's allowing it to breathe much better than stock manifolds.

i have true duals with stock manifolds and my car isnt that loud, but i just ordered a set of long tubes from speed inc and once they come in and i get a chance to put them in, i hope it makes my car sound really deep.

the 98-99 will notice more of a differenct due to a poor manifold design. I noticed a loud rattle noise from the y-pipe on the floor board hahahahah **** it. seriously it pulled alot harder all the way up but anything past 3500 is a sizeable increase.....right after i did it i raced a buddy, b4 his car was slower but to about 80 he was at my bumper.......after by 80 he was at least 3 car length behind. now you must also remember i have 108k miles on mine and kept getting a cat. converter efficency code....so i know that my cats were holding me back.

I have flowmaster and it sounds kinda poppy at low rpm high throttle opening.....but i learned how to drive it and it sounds great. after 3500 it really sounds pissed.....people just look over and give me either a look of disgust(i interept there little kids dvd) or a look of aww as they can remember when cars sounded like that.....not these fart cans we have in orlando

I got great power gain out of my Pacesetter headers and off road y-pipe. I went from 290 rwhp to 330 rwhp. I have hooker cat back exhaust and it sounds AWESOME with LT's.

I noticed that i get worse gas mileage.......which is due to me wanting to hear the roar of the LT's and ORY I drove it hard for about the first month

Deeper more rounded tone and more power. They will probably cause you to run rich though so expect worse gas mileage...

I had an X pipe and billets installed at the same time so I had power, nice sound and torque. Really picked up on the low end of the torque range. Went with QTP race LT's.

Nice comments. I am planning on the QTP's and I am hoping to gain in the top end. Some people say that the HFMC help with the low-end loss, anyone else have this experience?

Sounds good to me. Any recommendations on where to purchase a set of QTP's?
