SLP LTs and cut-out questions????

SLP LTs and cut-out questions???? I'll be ordering my SLP headers sometime this week and am planning on going with the off-road pipes instead of cats.
My question is... is there enough room to put cutouts in the o/r pipes? (so I can basically run open headers). Also... is there enough room to then put on McCord's Power Plate cut-out under there??? please remember I'm wanting to put them into the o/r pipes, not knowing how tight of fit it is where the headers end and the pipes would be

Re: SLP LTs and cut-out questions???? My only concern would be ground clearance under the "dump" part of the cutout. The way the SLP setup works is that the Y-pipe is no different between the cat/no cat setup. It comes up to about 7 or 8 inches of the collectors on the headers. To fill that space, you either use cats or pieces of straight pipe that are properly flared.
In other words, you should have the space to do it as far as the headers are concerned; but to be honest, ground/chassis clearance could be an issue.

Re: SLP LTs and cut-out questions???? you have plenty space to put a cutout there, BUT you will have no clearance at all. If you put the Mccord on there its really gonna make things worse. I have my cutout right before the rear axle and with the electric cutout on there i have hardly no ground clearance. Plus it looks like im dragging something under the car from the rear. I was surprised how big those electric cutouts were <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
i really wouldnt run cutouts that close to the header anyway unless you have a heads/cam package to make up for no backpressure. Just my 2 cents
