Default Intake Chiller - A/C System Conversion

So, I'm driving around in 90+ weather, and it sucks. The car is a dog, KR is up, and HP is down. Wouldn't it be great to have a cold intake charge on the hot days.

Has anybody ever done this. I have an A/C system that I never use, and was wondering how hard it would be to re-mount the chiller coils in the intake (or in front of it).

How large are our chiller coils? Just a thought, but it would sure make a difference on these hot-hot summer days.

Any suggestions? Anybody tried this?

Well, based on thermodynamics I don't think it is possible for you to run at least 100% efficiency on that system. That is, the gain you will get from piping the cold A/C air into the engine, will not be more than the loss you take from running the A/C compressor. ie, If you had a 100% efficient system (which you won't) then the work required to chill the air would be equivalent to the increased power of the motor.

And also a minor detail is that you would have to reprogram the computer so it doesn't disengage the compressor at WOT.
