Z06 Maf Heres the deal as well as my mods listed below I have a Nitrous 50-125hp wet kit that I am installing right now.
I have just bought a second hand TCI Street Fifgter 3,000 stall converter.
Also SLP long tube ceramic coated headers with Y pipe and high flow cats.
( it will take a while before I can get these two fitted as this is my daily ride)
I have some 3.73's in the garage to go later also.
Anyway it's very hard to get this sort fo thing second hand in the UK because very few of the 200 or Z28 LS1's are modded yet over here.
So the very helpful guy who sold me the above parts gives me a Z06 MAF with a smooth SLP bellows to try on my car and make him an offer for it.
My question is this a worth while mod I noticed on fitting it the dia is larger and it has no screen in it.
I know my buddy got down in the 11's with this set up plus 1.85 RR's wihout any tunning.

Leave the stock MAF alone. The gains will be minimal if, by some chance, it does not make the car run worse.
If you were switching to a 90mm intake/throttle body and wanted to beef up the rest of the intake tract, you could throw on a bigger MAF, but you would need to have it tuned.

your stock MAF is more than adequate for your proposed setup. There is a possibility you will see a marginal gain with the Z06 MAF and no tuning - got about the same chance it doesn't help at all. Since you have the option of trying a new MAF with out modifing your existing one, give it a shot. If you don't like it you can have your's back in within a few minutes.

This is some sort of pigtail adapter fitted to it and for the no descreen crew Z06 maf comes with out screen so it's not descreened.
I'm going to the dragstrip either this month or next month, so I will see how it runs.
