Oil in Throttlebody

Pulled bellows off today and noticed there was a small amount of oil at the base of the throttlebody blade. Not much, just a small line at the base of the blade. Is this normal?? None in the bellow itself or in the MAF.

Do a search for the words catch can and you'll find all the info you need. 950+ post and you are asking such a worn out question, where have you been all this time?

Yeah, I know what a Catch Can is and I know how to do a search. If I had wanted that answer I would have PM'd you directly!! I didn't say I had oil in the intake, I said it was in the throttlebody and I want to know if it comes from the same problem. But, hey, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to help out.

Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. Thought maybe you spent all your time in the Stereo or Appearance forums. You also didn't say you "didn't" have oil in the intake either. It has to be coming from the pvc system since you didn't say you had a oiled type air filter. Some guys have put a small filter on the breather line coming from the passenger valve cover to the top TB hose, but that's generally not an issue. I'm surprised you're not getting oil past the TB.

I do have an oiled K&N filter on my FIPK intake but this looks like regular oil, not the pink filter oil you put on the outside of the filter.

no its oil from the pcv line, iv taken off numerous throttle bodies and they all have oil sitting there. mine did at 31k miles

even with my catch can i still get a little oil on the bottom of my tb, i am pretty sure its normal for these cars
