headers

i need some recomendations for headers. im currently looking at the flp's but i really dont want to spend 1300 bucksfor headers. any others that have good results with any others please let me know.

Its all about what your willing to spend. Lots of people see very pleasing results with the Mac Midlengths, but I would recommend getting them jet-hot coated. It'll look better, and last longer. I hear a lot of complaints about the SLP Long tubes and their clearance issues. FLP sounds like they're pretty respected as well.

The highest peak rwhp will be the grots, no header around compares to them IMO.

Stock headed ls1 went 396 rwph with these... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Dynatech LT stepped headers are good priced too. People are seeing very good results from them. Headers only...they don't come with a y-pipe.

The hookers are nice, cheaper and easy to install too. Can't use cats without modding the y-pipe though. The FLP and SLP have clearence issues with the y-pipe on the drivers side. Bangs the bottom of the car when starting and taking off, it seems the motor twists some on the mounts due to torque and slaps the y-pipe against the underside of the car which requires some bending and cussing to fix. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Also I had to remove the tranny mount and push the tranny to one side to clear the bell housing for both sides on the SLPs!
Macs are good for power too, but don't know about install, they're cheaper too.
