why is it boiling over???
but now after i put in the old thermostat with the lower temp. mod, the car runs at a good temp but as soon as i turn it off it boils over and starts puking coolant.
could i have overfilled the radiator and puketank? i bled the system properly.
i drove it last night after i installed the thermo. and it was ok . and today i top it off and the boiling over started.
wouldn't a head gasket cause it to boil over when running??
would overfilling the puke tank cause it to do so?

Have you had any of the radiator hoses off lately? If so, check to make sure you have the small line from the coolant resovoir connected to the upper connector on the radiator (just below the car itself), and the other hose (that comes from the crossover tubes on the heads) below that.
I can relate to your symptoms first hand <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />
i just checked the car and you nailed it!!!
i had the rad out 2 days ago and yes my 2 small lines are misplaced, i had the coolant line connected to the lower fitting and the t-body line connected to the top one.
i feel stupid!
just incase..... what pressure are the radiator caps rated at?
now i'm back to the overheating with the A/C on dilema!
