Default Stock Throttle Body...

How big in mm is an '01 TA throttle body? What would be a good size to upgrade to? Thanks.

The stock TB is 75 mm at the blade, but necks down to 70mm. The inlet on the manifold is around 75mm so a ported stock TB is the way to go.

You can see pictures of stock & ported on my webshots page.

Where can I find all stock TB specs for 98-02? (Mainly mm sizes) Also, where can I find out how to port & polish my own? I tried Install U, but I didn't see it there.

I think they are 70mm

A ported TB was worth 3rwhp and 5 rwtq on my bolt on car. LPE did mine, it was smoother inside, the blade shaft and been cut down a good bit and the LPE opened all the way. For the cost I've very happy with it.

This was before Shaner and Jantzer, started offering their ported TB's. If I didn't have a ported TB I'd read up and try either Shaners or Jantzers.

I don't think there is much if any value in a bigger TB compared to a stock ported one for a 346 displacement engine. Most of what I've read about the BBK 80mm is negative. The opening in the LS1/LS6 intake is about 70mm so I don't see how the BBK is really going to gain much.
