Performance MAF?? Which One
Performance MAF?? Which One Okay, i am to the point of wanting to install a performance MAF. I have been looking at a few.
1. Pace MAF. They have a few versions. Not sure which one to go for.
2. SLP 85MM MAF.
Are these bascially going to do the same thing? If i go for the PACE.. there is a setup descreened. should i go for this?
I looked at the granatelli...what's so great about their's to make it so much more expensive?
Looking for opinions.

Re: Performance MAF?? Which One If you're looking at the PACE units, go for the VV. It's the screenless version and it's calibrated correctly to be that way. Also, make sure it comes with the 5-wire to 3-wire harness adapter. The F-Bodies use a 3-wire MAF where the Z06 uses a 5-wire. The difference is due to the LS6 engine using an SIT that is intergral to the MAF. Ours is separate. It's the little black thingie stuck in the back of the lid with a rubber grommet.

Re: Performance MAF?? Which One stock with screen removed is the best, especially if you are going to tune with LS1 edit to set your timing/AF etc.
NO gains have been seen in 500RWHP cars between the stock descreened MAF and the various ported MAFs/oversized MAFs. Also the aftermarket/ported MAF are harder to tune with LS1 edit.
