Mod ? First off i am new to this site, and all i have to say is that it is amazing and the people on here are great. Ive learned so much from this site. I just bought my car like 2 weeks ago, it is a 98 z28 m6 and i love it. I allready got a lid and catback for it. I also just bought a MTI B1 cam. I want to get some headers also to go with the cam but got all these different opinions on each one. I really cant afford to much cause im only 19 and was wondering what header is best for the money. Also if there are any other mods that would really help me out id like to know those too.

Re: Mod ? Do you plan on doing heads at some point? Probably the best bang-for-the-buck headers are the Mac midlengths. You can probably get a set of those, coated, with cats and a y-pipe for $850.
The coated Hookers longtubes are only $580 but that doesn't include cats (if that's important to you) or a y-pipe.
Sometimes you'll get luck and find a sweet GP on some SLPs or Hookers.
If you're not planning on making HUGE power I wouldn't worry about longtubes though. My neighbor just dynoed 510 rwhp in his M6 SS with heads, a tame cam and a 100HP wet shot, all through Macs with cats.

Re: Mod ? Thanks for the help Jake99ss. Yeah the macs were probabaly what i was gonna go with. Im just a little confused about the y pipe and cats. Do i get both are just one, is there any performance differences with them. Im sorry if i seem like i dont know much, thats cause i really dont.
