Default I need FLP's phone #...

For the past couple of days I have been trying to access FLP's webpage so I can get their phone number and order a set of LTs for my 02 Z28. For some reason the site has been down... does anyone know their phone number? Thanks

I've decided to plunk down some cash for headers too, and I've spent a full week doing search after search after search and reading anything and everything I could find on the various brands. Basically ALL have someone saying this one or that one "has quality issues". More often than not it's been about SLP's from what I've found, but FLP's and Grots too. TTS are the only one's I can honestly say I've seen no bad press on, but that's just probably because so few people have 'em.

He is a mod there that has had TTS headers before. He talks them way up. The only bad I have heard about them is that they are the absolute hardest to install. The only bad I have ever heard on Grotts is that customer service sucks and their Y-pipe is restrictive. Pretty much the same goes for MACs... bad service, bad Y-pipe. It surprises me you have heard much about SLP... the only thing I have heard is ground clearance is lacking on the Y-pipe and right at the collector. Then Hooker is really a surprise too... I have only heard one complaint, a guy said he didn't like the way a couple welds looked. He posted the pics and the welds looked fine, when everyone clued him in, he retracted his complaint.
FLP... let's see, where to start?
Oil plug won't come out
Banging floor pan
False KR
Rusting
Coating flaking off
Poor customer service
I'm sure I'm forgetting some. For $1300 I shouldn't be able to list any.

Banging floor pan: they revised the headers and most people do not complain of this anymore.
False KR: how do headers cause false kr?? assuming you mean banging?
Rusting: I bet if you scrape them enough they will rust.
Coating flaking off: same as above.
Poor customer service: ?!?! Their customer service is badass! I had a vendor send me the wrong parts, I called FLP directly and they overnighted everything I needed to me, even when I didnt buy them from them directly. Pretty poor service eh..
If I had to do it all again...id get these headers without a doubt.
Just my experience with FLP.

Hey, you lucked up then... The forums are here for us to help each other and share things. I am just sharing what I have seen over the past few years.
Just this week:
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...hreadid=144711
The guy can't change his oil now that he has FLPs on. Use a wrench my @ss, no need for smart comments.
Also, they say they fixed that banging/false KR problem, but again, I can hook you up with a guy who bought a set of FLPs last week and they have these issues. So it's not fixed.
As for customer service... this same guy called FLP to try to resolve the issue, they told him to bend them with a crow-bar... WTF?!?! $1300 and they want him to bend them with a bar? Why should he have to do this?
You want more examples, I do a search for you and pull up plenty. Just don't get smart with me cause I try to clue a guy in so he can make an informed decision.

I noticed you posted on LS1.com also.
If you are considering an expensive mod like FLPs, you might want to ask around about quality.
I have been on LS1.com for a couple years and have seen alot of negative posts about FLP quality. When you pay $1300 for a set of tubes, you want them right.
Something to consider.

Thanks Dan99Hawk... I am glad it only took 9 posts to find the number I am ordering the LTs for my car today and will have ARE install them and tune my car next week. I am actually taking off my load mouth and going back to my stock Z28 cat back along witn a 3" electric cutout from FLP. I think the loud mouth with FLPs and ORPs would be too loud

Does anyone have experience with FLP's electric cutout ?

FLP is top notch. There will always be a few of every kind/brand that have problems. That's just the nature of things. I have one of the first batch of Grotoyhann's (PSJ's original pair). I've had more people rave over the qaulity of them. Even Tom Izzo owner of Speed Inc. (when he was running his shop out of his garage in Streamwood) and I took them to him to be re-coated, he complimented them. But then I've also heard of a few people with problems with Grott's. And I'm not refering to the delivery problems either.

Anyway, I've been to FLP's shop many a time for MFBA dyno days, I've seen quite a few of the MFBA cars' with FLP products on them, I've had Don "the exhaust magician" over at FLP finish my true dual system on my 8.1 as well as take a Saturday morning to properly re-fit my ATR system on my Camaro. A system they don't sell. Mitch (who was previously mentioned) is also a member of the MFBA and naturally they've supported and sponsored us. Point is, I'm sure they have a few bad apples but overall they're top notch and give top notch customer service.
