New specs on Random Technology converters
P/N 813000 is a 3" inlet/outlet "bullet" style converter with a 4" diameter body and about 8.5" in length. Total length from end to end is 11.5". Flowbench rating is at 426cfm. These are sold with the SLP header/Y-pipe set. Thunder Racing also sells these for just over $145 each.
P/N 703000 is their new metallic substrate converter. It is also a 3" I/O "bullet" style converter with a 4" diameter body and a shorter total length of 9.5". They are reported to flow at 560cfm each, which outperforms even the larger 9000-series converters! These converters resist clogging and have a different metal-based honeycomb. To my understanding, the washcoat is the same as their other units. Retail pricing is at $265/each from Random.
I was just getting ready to do a search in here for info on those same converters. I need a very short 3" converter for the exhaust on my truck.
The Random Tech is the shortest at 9.5" overall length and it looks like it flows damn good. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Thanks for the info. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
That was too wierd. I'm getting outta here. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
