fuel pump & regulator question I am trying to figure out the way i what to go with my fuel system i have gone through the whole motor and i know my car needs a better fuel system i here guys putting in inline pumps with the stock one is that the way to go or put in a new fuel system with return line and one more question i have a 99 they say the fuel reglator is in the tank but what is that silver thing that looks like a reglator on the fuel rail need some options thanks

1: New intank pump
2: External pump
3: Custom return system with new intank pump.
What you see on the fuel rail of a '99 is a damper, it is not the regulator.

Re: fuel pump & regulator question an 255 inline is very noisy, and will not flow as much when impeded by your stock pump as one 255 in tank
it would be a good idea while you are in there to remove the stock regulator and add an aftermarket one in the stock return line going back to the tank.
