Default Anyone with Adjustable Borla Exhaust ?

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone out there had the adjustable borla exhaust. Are you happy with it ? Does it make a great sound ? And how much HP did you gain ?

thanks

I have had my Borla for about 6 mts. now and I freakin' love it. yeah, it is a little costly but well worht it to me. I got it from the great,"Thunder Racing" down in Baton Rouge L.A.. They are a huge help. Anyhow, I am very happy with the sound and performance of my Borla. Couldn't have made a better choice. A buddy of mine has it on his 98' Z28. He would say the same thing. "WHERE YOU AT WARREN?" I can't drive any where without heads turning and people staring in awe of that sweet sounding exhasut! Just my .02!

I've had mine for 3 years now and love it! As for the adjustibility part - well I played around with that for the first couple weeks only then chucked the plates and been running it wide open ever since *L*. Even so, at idle it's not much louder than stock, just deeper. But at WOT it's like a banshee on steroids!

It's AWESOME and then some. Super high quality! Fully open it's almost like a cutout depending on what your manifold/header/Y-pipe combo is. Sound is Way-Cool! Horsepower increase would be dependent on what exaust you are replacing. An SS or WS6 exaust flows a little more than a regular Z or T/A I think so you would get less of an increase. The sound alone is worth it. The Polished Stainless Steel Tips look great coming out the back and really fill up those huge rectangular gaping exaust slots.

damm straigth the borla is loud as hell with a set of long tube headers and off road y pipe and its cool cause if you need to tone it down to take the oldlady out on the town for a nite you just stick the full closed plate in it and run it all through the muffler and you dont have to here her bitch.

Borla cat-back I love it. I've had it for over six months now and to me I think its the best sounding. For the plates I have the mid size in it, it sounds real good. Its real nice deep sounding, but when I get home from this damn 130 day deployment I'm going to take it out and run it wide open just like slppontiac . I want to be louder. And for getting it installed I had a muffler shop install it for me which cost me about 80 bucks but now I wish I installed it my self. Slppontiac installed his himself and said it was pretty easy I'm not sure what all he went through but maybe he can answer that for you if he gets back on. Now for HP I'm not sure what it gives you but I defiantly felt a difference. If you don't already have a high flow air lid then go ahead and buy the borla catback and the air lid performance package from thunderracing.com its a great set up if your just starting out with bolt on's. Hey man I hope this helps you out I think its worth the money.
Later,
Warren
Now I'm looking at FLP LT's to be even more louder and to turn more heads

Yeah for the exhaust just install it yourself. You have to cut the pipes out of there around the rear axle but the new ones just bolt right up. I took the cheap way and got the loudmouth and love it. But borla has the warranty and can be adjusted which is an awesome idea. But installation is a breeze.
