X-pipe with cats?? would this work?

i just wanted to know, if i got an x pipe and put cats on it, would it still create more hp than a y pipe without cats? also if i were to cat and x pipe should i do it before the x or after?

thanks in advance.

i want 2 dynomax race bullets, i love the sound but want it a little quieter.

If you're gonna do cats then put them before the x and as close to the header collectors as possible so they work properly.
