Has anyone lost a fuel pump?
I was in the final this weekend when I luanched the Hot Rod and as soon as it hit the tires she fell on her face. She would run but when I pushed on the gas there was nothing. We pull the Hot Rod to the trailer to check it out. It would start but nothing when I pushed on the gas then I tried reseting the computer and then she wouldn't start at all.
I think that it is the fuel pump. We could not hear the pump turn on. If it is the fuel pump, it is time for a exturnal high volume fuel pump with steel braided fuel lines.
Replaced it under warranty and it's been fine since.

Ryan,
Yes, just what I was thinking.
Coach
I read in somebody's message that, if you don't let the fuel get under 1/4 tank, the pump will still be surrounded by fuel, and run cooler, and hopefully will last longer.

I thought about a week ago, the pump seemed to flutter a little but a full blast run in the industrial park and all seemed fine.
