You should be changing your fuel filter every 15,000 miles or so.

Belts, hoses, rear end fluid. Even though they have 100,000 mile plugs in them, it's a good time to check them too. Despite what they say, I;ve found them to be less than stellar with anything 50,000+ miles on them. Especially gapwise.

You don't mention if you have an A4 or M6. With an A4, depending on how you use it, you should really change it and the filter around 30-40k and sooner upon heavier duty use. M6 varies too, but I think I'll do mine about the 20,000 mile mark.

If you have an A4, find a shop with a transmission service machine. This machine acts like a blood transfusion...sucks the old fluid out, and pumps new fluid in at the same time. Much more effective than just dropping the pan because it changes ALL the fluid in the tranny, not just what's in the pan. Be carefull though, some machines just filter your used fluid and pump it right back in, make sure you get a machine that uses new fluid. BTW...this should have been done at 30K miles.

Hey pal, i did the tranny fluid at 30k
I already changed the plugs/wires and had the differential serviced cause it was leaking. What does that leave me...

Tranny fluid
Fuel filter
check hoses
check belts

Is that it? I was gonna take it to a mechanic nearby to do the tranny fluid and fuel filter, but they wanna charge me $250 for the 60k mile service, but it includes, plugs, wires, air filter, all that stuff that doesnt need to be touched. Thats why im asking what needs to be serviced. What am i leaving out?? Thanks for the input guys, appreciate it...heres a beer on the house
