Does anyone else have this problem?
ok, first of all i hope i'm in the right forum.
Do your headlights go dim when u hit the brakes? Do your lights surge on cold starts? What i mean by "Surge" is, do they pulse? i guess thats the best way to describe it?
also, my ARS light comes on every now and then. it came on and stayed on right after the cam was installed. i got it tuned and it went away. now, it comes on rarely but i was just curious if anyone else has or had this problem?

My lights do the same thing sometimes. After hitting the brakes my rpms drop to about 400 rpms or so, a little below the idle rpms, and the lights go dim. I dont know if this is your case but I didnt think that it was a big problem.
I dont know what to tell about the ARS light turning on though.

I had that, when I first got my TA (used around 30k miles).
Hard to say which one it was, but I had my alternator and belt tensioner replaced and the bird chirping sound, pulsing and brake=lights dim went away! The belt tensioner issue was a TSB, even though they tried to get out of it, they had to do that one for free.
Hope that helps.

my car does the same thing, my volts even drop to the yellow, but that could aslo be the underdrive pulley do you think that would fix my problem to replace belt tensioner

Alternator overdrive pulley fixed my charging problems. Hell, my car charges great now. It stays over 13 volts at redlights with the fans and Ac on. I've got a SLP underdrive pulley and a ASP alternator pulley. Eventhough it charges good, it still pulses and dims a good bit of the time. I would like to know how to fix the dimming problems myself.
