and forget it. Vinyl electrical tape around
the burnt area, then either some spiral wrap
or tube for mechanical protection. And keep
it out of the way of hot pipe somehow.

Re: burned an O2 wire well, the coating wasnt burned...but i was getting a lean code on the driverside. i check the pas. side and the O2 was loose...a few threads off of tight. i wonder if that coulda screwed up the other side at all? i put a new O2 on and bought some heatshield tape. ill see how that works out.
