clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe !

clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe ! have tried every way possable to make these things work ! They still bang the floor board and crate a HORRABLE vibration ! What am I doing wrong ?

Re: clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe ! Dude, I cant imagine why they should bang. The drivers side y pipe can bang, but it is very adjustable and should be easy to remedy! If you think you know where it is banging, put some black spray paint there and see if it leaves a mark after a few passes. I have no problems with banging at all. Good luck!!
Re: clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe ! Two words..."torque strap". Best mod to date and I have done a few. Home Depot has them for about 10 bucks...

Re: clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe ! found my problem guys , the drivers side looked like I had plenty of clearance but after futher imspection I found that it was right against the bolt that comes through the floorboard for the drivers seat ! does great now ! Thanks for the help !

Re: clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe ! I still have the same problem. I've tried adjusting them so they don't bang on the floorboard several times. One time I got it perfect... But then it came back. I've just learned not to accelerate hard on corners. It still bangs when stabbing the throttle and the nittos hook up. Oh well.. if anyone has any clever ideas, throw em at me. Otherwise, I'll just deal with it.

Re: clearance problems with mac headers and y pipe ! If you have the Macs with the Mac ORP there is NO reason it should bang. Just get it on a lift and work with it. Dont put up with ANY banging! Good luck!
