The Corsa system is the quietest and put out 20 RWHP on a total stock WS6 2001 T/A.It has no baffles to wear out,new sound caceling technology, straight through design.stainless and lifetime warranty. The test was in one of the later Pontiac magazines. It is quiet at idle and cruise and screams at WOT.It is pricey though, but go to www.madhatterautocenter.com they got the best price at 625.00.Im ordering mine this week.

I like the Borla system myself. It sounds very good, and is adjustable. You can run the less restrictive plate at the track, and the more restrictive plate on the street. If that's what you choose to do. I run the least restrictive plate all the time, and it's not that loud. Just my .02.

Normally I'd plug for the Loudmouth but since you want something that isn't too loud I'm gonna bring up the Bassani catback. Heard it on a friend's car last night and it's great. His other mods are the B1 cam and Bassani headers with ORP. He posts as RPM WS6 here but hasn't had Internet access for the past few days.

He had the SLP 2-on-the-left system before and it sounded ok but this Bassani takes it hands down. Costs about $650 but it's really good stainless steel and like I mentioned it sounds great. You can actually hear the cam cackling now and it makes some noise when he hammers it but it doesn't rasp even with no cats.

I'd say go with the loudmouth...it's the best bang for your buck....Around 300 bucks..but it's not very quiet...

Hooker Catback. Cheaper than even the Loudmouth. But quiet as stock at idle, but WOT is awesome. I even have hooker lt's and no cats and it's still quiet at part throttle/idle. That would be my decision just because of price.

Corsa, i've had mine on the car for alittle under a year now, and it works. looks, and sounds great. It's just a tad bit louder at idle, and it SCREAMS at WOT. Best system for the LS1's IMO.

I have and really like the Hooker catback. Sounds awesome, yet isn't loud. Only pitfall is that it isn't stainless. But you can replace it once and still be ahead when compared to buying a Corsa.

Just a suggestion, but Spintech makes a clean and crisp sounding exhaust. I currently have one on my car. It sounds to sweet with a cam. Its deep at cruise, and mean at WOT.

I can't believe noone has mentioned the Magnaflow cat back.. it sounds great and has polished muffler and slash cut tips. The sound is just right in my opinion-- a nice bit of throaty authority, but not anywhere near obnoxious. Does make a funny whoosh sound under full throttle upshift with my A4 though. And the price is right at around $360..

SLP Dual-Dual. A little pricey due to the all stainless steel design but it has lifetime warranty. It is a little louder than stock at idle and cruising but sounds good when all in it. I didnt want mine really loud either and I'm quite pleased with this one. Been on the car for 3 years with no problems.

I love the sound of my Borla. Not too loud but very aggressive. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'll plug the B&B triflow. Its sounds great with the MAC headers and Y pipe. Not too loud either.
