Default egt questions

any of you run one? if so, where did you mount the probe? i have heard 2 places, either in the primary or in the collector.

also, what temps do you look for?

seems to me the primary nearest the head will give the most accurate exhaust temp reading.

i used to run one on my gn and we put it right after the exhaust outlet on the turbo. if you put it on the primary, then which cylinder do you put it on? i was going to get a dual probe one and put one on each bank. my stock motor let go on the 7 and 8 cyl's, but i am afraid to just read those 2 and leave the rest open for chance.

The best thing to do is to baseline your car and remember that temperature, then use it as a comparison. If it gets hotter you know you are lean, colder and you know you are rich.
