Re: Beware Dr Gas!
I NEVER said it was ok for them to do that. Do you think if they did that intentionally to everyone they would even be in business? NO.
And as for that $30 it will most likely be written off by the company and Dr Gas won't even know about it. If it does go through to a full dispute you will need to provide proof of your price. If not everyone in their mom would call to try and scam everyone. That is why there are federal regulations in place, to protect merchants and cardholders.
You are just being a crying little baby about like you have never made a mistake in your life. <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
I would say put yourself in their shoes but you would just say that you would honor it because it's not your money.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
this is sooo WEAK. <img border="0" alt="[boring]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_zzz.gif" />

Re: Beware Dr Gas!
I clearly stated I understand mistakes. I would never have posted or complained if they had worked with me yesterday. But instead they said tough luck. Whatever your standards are fine, but I find it wrong not to stand behind your product or promises.
And calling me names? You're trying to tell ME I'm a baby? If you don't agree, fine, that is your right and I can accept that, but come on, aren't you out of high school?

By them stating they made an error and telling you to refuse shipment is all the have to do. Unless you have something in WRITING that states how much it was...YOU LOSE.
There is NO such thing as a stop payment on a credit card. It is called a Merchant Dispute. To even initiate a merchant dispute there has to be wrong doing. The merchant also has to be allowed the opportunity to correct the situation before a dispute can be filed. Meaning he IS willing to help you out by letter you refuse it OR you can pay to ship it back. The other way is like i stated previously which is something in WRITING. The last way is if you never received it. All they need to provide is proof of delivery(tracking #) and ....YOU LOSE.
BTW-Keep in mind most credit card companies write off small amounts such as that. So if they do give you the credit on your card w/o any hassle it was for that reason alone. DON'T think you beat Dr. Gas. Most Credit card won;t even WASTE their time on something so piddly. IT generally costs about $50 just to process a dispute....

Re: Beware Dr Gas!
That's very strange, I've had nothing but great luck with them, they have no trouble helping you investigate or holding a charge, and in two cases even reversing the charge when the vendor refused to call them back. That is why I put almost everything on that card.

Re: Beware Dr Gas!
Thanks for the agreement pureevil(finally). Anyway, the issue is resolved, my salesman came in and confirmed the amount I was quoted, and I've been refunded $30. That is all I wanted in the first place! Oh well, I'm not saying they make poor product (quite the opposite from what I hear), just saying make double sure of your final price and check the charge to your CC to confirm it.
Sorry to ruffle feathers guys, but after you've been screwed by companies (or at least attempted, I fight until the bitter end), you get somewhat pissed when it happens. In this case where they resolved it, I will not hold any grudges, but I still feel they should have been more flexible YESTERDAY, and none of this would have happened.
