Granatelli MAF

Granatelli MAF I have a granatelli MAF sitting on my shelf. Now, from what I've heard, for some people it decreased performance instead of improving it. Should I install it ? HAs anyone tried them. I have a 2002 ws6 and their website offers 11 additional horsies.
Re: Granatelli MAF I had one for a short while. It didn't make my car run worse, but I didn't notice it running any better either. I ended up removing it and sold it on ebay to buy a set of lowering springs.

Re: Granatelli MAF Try it you'll like it and it takes very little time to install. 11 HP is real hard to tell by the seat of your pants so don't think your going to feel alot of new power you'll just feel alittle better throttle response.

Gforce I suggest looking at other options. The GMAF's are nortoriously over priced. You can get as good or better gain from a set of ported MAF ends.

Re: Granatelli MAF I have had one since I got my car..noticed big gain on the lt1 with it.not as much on the ls1..factory maf is probably less restriction on the ls1.I think now I would just buy a pace screenless maf..its bigger than I think the gms ported..although gms has the zo6 ported maf now too..like was said they are pretty pricey..pace maf or even slp is pretty cheap..I think if a guy could get 10rwhp out of it he would be doing good...wish I had a dyno near me..smoking joe we have very similar mods..have you dynoed yet..if you do can you tell me your maft settings for best air fuel ratio and hp..I have ls6 intake,
gms maf,direct flo lid,holley filter,ported mti tb,b1 cam,tts longtubes currently with cats..cutout and carbon fiber driveshaft for power mods.So should be very close to your numbers..also have an hpp and maft.autotap and scanmaster..and use tazzo for my testing..no track or dyno near me..Plan on heads next year or maybe nos and 12 bolt or even blower not sure yet.
Not interested in strokers or bore motors..seem like too much coin for what you pay..I will just put in some forged pistons,rods etc into this motor and might do a stroker if the kits come down to reasonable levels..its the darn cranks..for 2000 or less stroker might be worth it..for 4000..nah pass...not even sure what heads to get..like mti stuff but they are big bucks..maybe some katechs..always make up the diff from better heads by just upping the NOS a bit if a guy puts in good bottom end parts.
