Default Dyno Testing results true?

I've seen that when some people dyno their cars they add things like a MAF, Ported Throttle Body or Intake in between runs. I was wondering if those dyno runs are true? Doesn't the computer need to learn the air volume intake and fuel curve? Even if you did reset the pc and revved it up a bit before the pull it is not going to be the same as driving it around a good ten miles is it? I was just wondering for wonders sake.

I am wondering this too. I am installing LT's next month, and I am wondering how many miles I need to put on the car befoe I dyno tune with MAFT.

when I've done it I've just gone back to back without any miles on it. if you run the wideband you can then correct for a/f with ls1edit.

Didn't seem to hurt mine.. I have a mod by mod install / dyno chart on my website.

http://www.geocities.com/wilwaxu/about.html#formula

IMO the track is a much better indicator of a mods true performance.

The PCM learning that you are concerned about will only affect part throttle A/F and this has to be re-learned, not WOT.

I'd say yes and no..Some things worked for me like, lid, filter, ported TB but I installed hypertech power programming once and gained 15lb tq/5hp,a week later I went back and the power was gone.A/F's were exact but power went back to before.
