Borla XR-1 muffler fixes the Loudmouth sound! With my H/C engine setup, the LM exhaust was like opening the gates of hell when over 4000 rpm. It was getting kinda obnoxious believe it or not. Loud isn't always better. Anyway, my goal was to get it to sound like the GMMG chambered exhaust like Andy's Berger SS.
I bought a 5" diameter x 15" round Borla XR-1 muffler to replace the resonator. Speed Inc. just welded it in for me and all I can say is FINALLY! An exhaust sound I can live with. It's deeper and doesn't blow my eardrums out at WOT and is still very healthy though! I'd say that at this point it's pretty close to the sound I was looking for. I recommend it for anyone not satisfied with the raspy droning hell that the SLP Loudmouth is.
