TSP true dual question
Yo,
I got TSP true duals with dynomax bullet mufflers cut at the rear axle.. I was wondering whats the best way to get them out back without altering the sound. I want it to still sound the same, I dont care if its louder though... Also.. H pipe or X pipe?
Thanks

yeah i was gonna go over the axle becuz im gonna get black motorsports and lower the car.. i dont have an x pipe though i dont think.. im pretty sure its the stock y pipe and the cats are still on there.. i just wanna know what to do to get it out back, i dont even know if its really possible while still using the dynomax's? youd have to cut em at the Y pipe, put on the X/H pipe then get some 2.5 or 3 inch piping and attach it to the X/H pipe until it reaches the dynomax then weld them together?

Ok, after further research, I do not think I have the TSP True duals, as I do not have an x/h pipe on there. It seems I have 2.5 inch piping, with 2 dynomax bullet mufflers welded to the stock Y pipe.

You will not loose ground clearance going under the axle with the TSP duals. ESPECIALLY if the car is lowered.
I know this is a mind blowing concept, but look at the pictures linked to in my sig. Even if my extensions left the bullets, and went straight back, I would still have the same ground clearance as everywhere else. Mine actually leave the bullets and climb about .5" before they pass under the swaybar. The only problem that i could forsee with doing this is that the suspension might unload making the rear end come down and hit the pipes. This has not happened yet and i've been over some pretty mean railroad tracks.
My car is lowered about 1" in the rear. I lowered the car, jammed the exhaust up as high as i possibly could, then had the extensions/cats put in.
My point is that since my bullets will not go any higher, running under the axle gives the same ground clearance as going over the axle. The 4" bullet hanging down is going to be .5" lower than a 3" pipe running out the back of it, no matter what you do. If your car is NOT lowered, you might actually have to DIP to make it under the swaybar. This would hurt ground clearance, but who the hell likes stock ride height anyway?
