Default More injector questions..

Well it looks like I am running at least 98% after using predators formula..pulsewidth times rpm /1200 gives me like 98% or even higher maybe, not sure if I just checked past 6000 or so.
I have stock 99 injectors and don't even have heads yet..so how the hell can all these cars I see on the forums run around with these too small injectors. Can they go past 100% reliably..is that possible..or are a bunch of us power limited by the two small injectors...once again anyone with similar mods to me especially with 99 and the smaller injectors gain good power by going up to #30 or so and heard on corvette site that the svo injectors are same spray pattern and work good in our cars and just read some post somewhere where some mechanic told this guy the ford svo were totally wrong for our cars..anyone running the svo and like them..any problems..?? I hear they are quieter than our injectors as an added bonus.
My crown vic is very smooth and quiet with the
4.6 single overhead..I am still at a loss though..buy bigger injectors now or wait until next year and get way bigger ones for my NOS dry kit..looks like 38 to 42 will be necessary then. And anyone got 42 to work with maf translator..and I mean 42 rated.understand our cars make them actual like six pounds or so higher..does this mean that at normal rating my injectors are really like 18 pounds and are like 24 at ls1 pressure..??? Gm really cheaped out on these things..darn..I seem to be having some problems getting good mph out of my car..could it be related to the injectors maxing out at 100%???
Mods are lid,holley filter,gms maf,ported tb,ls6 intake,b1,tts headers,tts cats,b and b,cutout,asp pulley.

I leaned the car down with my maft more today and it seems my injector pulse widths dropped down to 18 or so range..so a bit better..so guess I might be able to get buy with the stockers for a bit longer until I get heads and NOS..of course could still get a wet kit and not need to increase them but plano on dry as its easier to make hidden I think. So it looks like a set of 42's is still in my future..if I had 99 or 2000 car I would really be watching my injector pulsewidths if you don't have the car leaned down with headers..likely you are at 100% ,especially if you have heads..or too big a nos shot.

I don't have too many answers, but you described my situation exactly. I have a 2000 T/A, and my PWs were 23.5mVs, so I sprang for a set of Ford SVO 30#ers. I have them, but I haven't installed yet, I hope tomorrow. I don't figure them to make extra power because my a/f was perfect until I hit higher rpms (5k and up), but my plan is that the new injectors will give me an 80% and under DC, plus supply the fuel I need at higher rpms. Also, I'll be able to get my MAF table (like the Base setting on a MAFT)near zero by editing the Injector Flow Rate table. I can let you know how it works out for me in case you want to do the same.

I recently switched to 30's. With the stock injectors I was pushing 103% at 6800 rpm. The stock injectors don't deliver as well as the SVO's at upper RPMs

Anyhoo, I droped my injector duty from 100% to ~70% at 6800 rpm.

The injector delivery can be calculated directly, so any changes to that curve are going to be "smudging" the numbers. You are just as well to make changes to the MAF transfer table.

That's good news NoGo, exactly what I'm hoping the new injectors will do for me.

I've understood that the best situation is not to fudge the MAF table too much. What exactly is wrong with setting the Injector Flow Rate table to better "fit" the new injectors?

So the injectors can go past 100% it looks like..that can't be a good thing..I would think they would act like a rev limiter when they start locking up I think its called or going static or something like that..??? You guys have a big advantage with ls1 edit.I only have my maft to play with right now..I will still pass on the 30 pounders and go right to 42..I saw this post where this guy says some engineer who works on this 302 ls1 project car or something maintains the svo are totally wrong for our cars but I think lots of guys seem to be running them are seem to be happy..
