Default Backfire??

Ok so tonight I was messing around with an 95/96ish Cobra when after I pulled away from him and let off, my car backfired. I was in 2nd gear coming down from 5k when around 2k it backfired. And it wasn't soft either, it was loud as f!ck.
Almost sounds like this!!
It happened before but thought nothing off it. I'm running an ORY into a LM2. I personally dont mind it but is it hurting my car? Is it bad to backfire? It is completly random when it occurs and it maybe occured a handful of times. What do you think?

If it was REALLY loud I think it could be VERY bad. I remember my friends Nova did that (carb'd 454), and intake caught fire. Not that this has anything to do with our cars.......but still I dont think a loud one is normal. My car will backfire just a little coming down, it's rather quite. My friends full exhaust Dakota R/T does the same thing. I think it's ok, just hope it's not screwing up spark plugs or anything.

when your running pretty much straight pipes as exhaust, loud is normal.
Backfires happen all the time, usually just unburnt fuel in exhaust. If your car is driving normal, i would think nothing of it.
has your car been dynotuned? your prob running a little rich
