Like the other guy's say don't bother with the SLP Maf
I ran one in my car for about 7 months until i started to get a few idle and drivability problems., Some people on the site here were kind enough to meet me with me and do a H.P Tune which made my car a P.i.t.a to tune so we switched the stock maf back (which i had to spend more $ and repurchaseon) in and then i was good to go.
The SLP Maf is basically just a 85mm truck or Z06 Maf that SLP Puts a resistor inside to trick the car's PCM into thinking more air is being taking into the engine so it bumps your timing up 100-200 rpm's
If any kind of a tune, headers ect.. are in your future for mod's then i would definitely spend the $ else where and you can learn by my mistakes. And from what i have read on a lot of forums most tuners will prefer that you don't use a SLP Maf also because they are known to be a p.i.t.a. to tune . And like everybody else is telling you the sock Maf can handle more than enough Horsepower than you will be able to actually mod your engine for.

I couldn't agree more. At our shop, we will rarely tune a car that has a SLP MAF. Stick with the stock one until you go with a 90mm setup. Then, use a Z06 MAF with the correct MAF table.

Just resell it, im sure you will find a buyer and you might only be out a few bucks instead of the whole price of the item.

The Lid,bellow and C.A.I. if that is the package you got.
It is the SLP 85mm Maf that is junk the rest of the stuff is good from the package.

Just get a stocker and put it in place if there is anything wrong with your old one. I would not advise putting that MAF on there. You might run into a tuning fight that you weren't prepared for.

I believe 4thGenCamaro's posts anwers this question.

If you're unsure go and read up on what a MAF does and why, you should then be able to answer your own questions.
