Default Tech Advice - Please Help

Looking for the next mods to do.

I have an '02 Firehawk with a 6 speed and bilstien suspension, so it already has the lid, a decent flowing catback and suspension upgrades. Here's what else has been done:

Pro 5.0 shifter, sfc, stb, and ds loop.

I assume headers would be a good next step, but any additional/other advice beyond headers (engine or chassis), short of heads/cam is appreciated.

Thank you.

I wasn't sure if I should/could do MAF ends at the same time, or put in a ported throttle etc. Didn't know if these would complement the headers or hurt my cause without tuning.

I wouldn't mess with the MAF- the stock MAF is fine. Ported TB, underdrive pulleys, and headers would all be good mods if you don't want to go into the engine.

BG ram air is also an excellent mod for a Firehawk. As for suspension/chassis mods, it depends on what you plan on using the car for. Street, strip, autox, roadracing, combination of the above? Need more information.

I know I had massive wheel hop with my Bilstein suspension, and the LCA's + PHR stopped it.

Like others said about power:
Underdrive pulley, ported TB, and headers (spark plugs while your there/and maybe wires).
What cat-back do you have? You could also slap a cut-out into the mix. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Also you can do some computer stuff like LS1Edit, and a Harlan shiftlight.

Peace,
Craig.

I would probably get pace vv maf..ported tb..probably just get one and exchange core like shaner..I got one from mti...pulleys are another easy mod..maybe a cutout if you want it loud once in awhile.Electric cutout controller if you don't want to crawl around under the car and you can open it up just a bit which I like personally sometimes..full open can get a bit annoying.
And then you are basically done for little mods..then its headers,cam,heads..nos or superchargers, turbos, bore and stroke..depends on how wild a ride you want..Personally if I was to do it all again and especially since you have the firehawk I would probably mostly leave it stock or do easily reversible mods..and if you want a race car build up and old muscle cars..autos make the best race cars and lighter bodies are a good thing to and speed parts are cheap for small and even big block chevies compared to our cars.
Its easy to put a lot of money into mods..too easy.

You may be right, the BG ram air may not work on your 'Hawk. I have an SS, so I haven't really looked into it. FTRA and the Supersucker are also both good ram air kits which are better than your stock setup. As others have said, LCAs and panhard bar for suspension mods. I personally like bigger swaybars as well, but some will tell you they are not necessary. You should already have the front 1LE bar on your 'Hawk.

Don't forget about all the free mods. The throttle body bump stop mod will be the first mod I do on my next f-body.

It sounds as though there just really isn't much worthwhile aside from the pulley, throttle body and MAF/Ends (with tuning) before the big stuff. I'm hoping to do headers in the spring, and hold off on the heads and cam until the warranty is up and anything that was going to break, breaks.
