I forget where I read it, but I thought the higher the grade of stainless the less magnetic. So 304 would be a little magnetic and 321 would be even less so.

i dont remember what the problem with the flowtechs was, but the flowtechs are hooker copies correct? So, then these ebay ones should also look identical to the hookers. According to speed inc's website there are two kinds of hookers. That picture of the hookers looks like the picture of the cheaper ones.

here is pic of the more expensive hookers

these look identical to the flowtechs and the ebay ones

dont let this fade out. i have also passed over those on ebay like a 1000 times, very interested in how much of a pain in the *** they are to cram under the hood.

These are the infamous headers that appear on e-bay. Every weekend a post appears with a link to these headers.

Are they equal length headers like the QTP's?

i've felt the same way about several threads in the past. Someone metions them and then never ends up buying them. This time it looks like we will get some real answers.

Shoot if it all works out fit and finish (they certainly look good) I may just buy a set to put on the shelf for when our PaceSetters go...

As of right now I am only waiting on the TDE and O2 sims as well as O2 extenstions. After all those parts arrive I will be installing these at my house on jack stands. I will post up pics and let everyone know how it goes. This will be my second install of Lt on a LS1 car so I have an idea of what to expect. from the best of what I can tell these look like Hooker Super Comp knock offs but who really knows but the man that builds them.

Did the seller give you any more information when you purchased them?

the flanges were very thin, and when over torqued, they bent.

someone already stated the flange size is 5/16th but if its true SS it should be stronger then regular steel.

btw- if everyone paypals me 5 bucks ill buy these headers as a demo and let u all know how it turned out

I hope everything turns out well! Keep us posted on the fitment and stuff. These headers might help drive down the price of some of the others! Stainless for less than pacesetters is not something to sneeze at!

I still think that if pacsetter ran their same exact headers, but in stainless, and sold them for $75 more or so (whatever material costs), they would make a KILLING.

Not but three years ago, PaceSetters were only readily available on ebay, no sponsors sold them. Now everyone carries them and theyre regarded as a great product for the money. Who's to say this isnt the next step in the progression of things. I mean, you can get SBC headers for a hundred bucks. LSx pricing has to come down eventually.

You couldn't be any more correct about what you just stated. 3 1/2 years ago I was one of the original people that bought the Pacesetters with OFYP off of ebay and everyone said they would never work I needed to spend the big money on SLP Hooker or who ever. I am just like alot of people out there with a little money to spend and who wants to try and get the most performance for his money spent. As for the 5/16th flange that is insanly thick for a head flange for headers I have three vehicles with headers and have bought literally about 60 sets of headers over the years and these ones are by far the thickest flange on any of them. Just for a update here is a pic of the stainless ones I have and a set of Hooker Super Comps.

Hooker Super Comps

My stainless headers I bought

Here is a pic of the Edelbrock headers also

Good stuff, bro. I like the idea of stainless because when I get a set, whatever they are, I'm gonna want to hack the EGR tube at the primary(block-off plates give people a reason to wonder what went there), and if I do it with stainless, they won't rust or flake out, obviously.

Definitely keep us posted.
