I have a set as well. The flange measures 3/8 (very thick) and welds are great. I have the remainder of the parts but I am in the USAF and will be TDY for a couple of weeks so I can't put them on for a while. I did e-mail a few folks who had bought them and found one who had installed them. He said the "went in like butter" and "had very good ground clearance" so I thought it was worth trying. I will let you know when I can get a chance to get it done.

Pics and everything else will be posted up as soon as I get them on. I have the dig. cam already to go with new bats and all. This will be the second car I have done headers on so I have a good idea on what the problem areas are and what to look out for. The last set was Pacesetters and with my M6 car I had to lift up the drivers side of the engine to get the header in instead of trimming the block. I just rathered to jack it up alittle instead of cutting on the aluminum block. I am wondering about trans clearence with the A4 but I guess I will find out soon enough.

This is true. However, stainless steel headers still run hot. Coating will help to contain the heat and temperature under the hood to remain lower. This helps to create more hp.

I noticed there is a thread like this on almost every import board about xs power turbo manifolds. Everyone is complaining about how they crack and get holes in them. Is this something more likely to happen on a turbo manifold than a na header?

yeah and ricers do dumb **** like mounting the turbo to the body, but not using solid motor mounts.
