I have a similar setup as jmm98ls1 (see sig) and I get tons of compliments on it. I've been asked by 3 different people if I have a small cam, they cant believe it when I tell them no!

What are the spec's on that cam and where could someone find it? Also, how do those Flowmaster's flow compared to a "bullet" style muffler (Dynomax Bullets, Sweet Thunders, etc...)? If those Flowmaster's flow pretty good and pretty close to how those would flow, I think I found my system

Jmm98LS1's sounds pretty damn good to me. Different sound than I've ever heard on an LS1.

I'd have to go with Meent02SS's car. I love the sound of his, it's the inspiration for me to go with true duals.

cam specs are 226/236 .525/.525 110lsa. It's a GMPP cam, between the hotcam and grandam cup cam in size.

My exhaust is 2.5", so the muffler cases are 3" tall, 8" wide and 5.5" long. They actually tuck up pretty nice right before the rear axle.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! If I get a chance this week I'll get a drive-by clip and post it up.

What are the spec's on these 1-chamber Flowmasters? I would like to put those in place of the Sweet Thunders that come with TSP's TD system, but I'm not sure if they would fit or whatever? Flowmaster's website shows about 3 or 4 different length 1-chamber mufflers. I'm kind of lost.

Okay, you answered my question nicely right before I posted . Oh well. Can you give me a website that directly links to the exact muffler you chose? Also, what true-dual system did you go with? Could these mufflers work with the TSP system? (Only thing I am concerned with is hangers lining up and such) I would like to get the same setup you have if that is possible.

I bought all the parts for my exhaust from summit and fabbed it myself. I used a pair of flowmaster 3"-->2.5" smooth reducer cones off the header collectors and then a 2.5" flowmaster d-port merge kit (fancy h-pipe) and flowmaster 10 series deltaflow race mufflers. Had to get a few mandrel bends from a local shop and cut/weld them in on the driver's side. You could probably use the TSP system and use 3" 1 chamber flows, but it'll require some fabbing since the mufflers won't fit in the drivetrain tunnel like TSP's mufflers do, and a 3" system will net very little ground clearance if you're lowered at all.

Hmm...I didn't even consider that you may have had an H-pipe. That will make a lot of difference in sound over the X-pipe. I don't really want an H-pipe, so perhaps I will just stick with my Sweet Thunders. I remember with my Mustang, Flowmasters sounded awesome on an H-pipe, but not so good on the X. I wonder if the same philosophy applies to the LS1 cars?

I am also planning on running the Eibach Pro-Kit eventually, so this may not be the best idea

I'm lowered with the pro-kit as well, and 2.5" exhaust gives me pretty good clearance. 3" would be too much though.

Here's a pic of my "h-pipe".....it's actually kind of a cross between and "x" and "h".

I think an "x" wouldn't sound much different than my system.

this is the same kit I have and youre right, it doesnt sound much different than a x-pipe. Before I got this kit, I had a Dr. Gas x-pipe, and the exact same mufflers. They sound identical, but the flowmaster kit is a little deeper.

Watch closely. The first time his speedometer hits 60mph that is not his speed. That is only the speed of his rear tires, which are spinning.
