Default Keeping HP with True Dual????

I was looking into doing a true dual on my car, but I have heard that you lose some HP becasue you lose back pressure. Does anyone have experience with a true dual setup on a fbod, and can anyone recommend a suggestion?

PS - Anyone know an exhaust shop in the Raleigh area that could help me with this job?

just make sure you have an h or x pipe. preferably an x.

I heard that a true dual cuts down on back pressure and LS1s like back pressure?

Backpressure is not an issue with a good set of longtubes and a professional X-pipe setup.

I don't know the name of the shop off the top of my head, but there is a old musclecar shop in N. Raleigh who did my subframes who may be able to help you.

I have the dr.gas x-pipe setup ran off of my flp headers. I did loose just a tad bit of low end tourque because I deleted the cats. If your worried about the loss of low end torque get some high flow cats welded in with the x-pipe junction and all you will notice is more power down low and you'll really notice the power increase above 2000rpm. And not to mention the sound. WOW. It sounds like a dual exaust because it is.

I also have a x-pipe, and don't think i lost any HP.
I went to the dyno saturday and pulled 337 rwh on a unlocked converter.And dynoed it on ET streets.
mods are:
MAC headers
X-pipe x/ bullets
Direct flo lid
Vig. 3200
LS6 intake

With just bolt ons....through a power sapping 33 spline 12 bolt w/ 3.73 gears, I did this.

Do you think I was down on power from my true duals??
