I've had good luck with the Timing Tricker mod.. but I have seen other have no gain from it. I notice the most difference in colder weather where the car can more effectively use the extra timing.

With the tricker, on the scanmaster, it showed incoming air temp as 38* But I saw no improvement at the track. I took it off and on many times. No change for me. I let the cat play with it now!

Just use an 8100 ohm resistor in the IAT.connector and you have the same timing tricker for 20 cents! it works on some cars but not others, probably likes cammed vehicles.Good Luck

it worked ok for me before i got my maft to tune my car with. back to back passes in 80 degree weather near identical 60ft, only change being the timing tricker i gained half a mph so thats maybe 5hp. not bad for a buck. but after i got the maft to tune the car the timing tricker mod doesnt work anymore, it just gives me knock.

didnt do a single thing with my 00 TA 2 years ago, ran back to back passes with it on and off, no difference. never tried it with my current 99 formula, stock it seemed to be tuned perfectly... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

On a stock 2002 Firehawk, starting at 40 C, the ECM starts removing timing (1 degree),and 50 C and up it pulls three degrees of timing. There is no add in the table, only subtract. I zeroed the table with LS1-Edit, but the resistor does the exact same thing. Just make sure you don't have any knock retard in hot weather and you should be OK.
