It helps to have the car high in the air or on a lift and lots of tools!

Took one of my friends 6 hours with a lift, air tools, and every tool known to man to do his LTs on his 4.6L.

I'd much rather do it on a LS1

Wow, we put mine on Friday night in 30 min. Granted the old stuff was off but it took longer to tap a fresh beer than slide the header in.

Took me a total of like 12 hours for me and my buddy. With long breaks and BS'ing, couple of beers here and there, I Actually thought it was going tobe harder than it really was.
as one other guy said, try doing them on a GT or a Cobra.....THAT is a PITA!!

ps.. open headers@100+

This is how you feel now. When you drive your buddy's f-body with headers you will feel different. Your buddy will have to fight you to get his car back.

Yeah I guess that was the idea of those pointy *** things, I hate those. There could not possibly be another explanation except to deter you from messing with it.

It was a lot easier with the starter out and the steering knuckle. Why do they have spikes on the F'n! coil packs!! wtf. But my car sounds pretty mean with open headers now :-)

If his auto isn't fun then it sounds like he needs drag radials and a stall

I think a header install on a LS1 is a cake walk! I have done three of them and I can do them blind folded. Now as others have said, the 4.6 is a bitch! GT hard? HA, do a ******* 4 valve! After working on my buddies 01 Cobra I told him and my buddy with a 00 GT that from now on they are on there own with installs! I hated it THAT bad!
