FLP vs SLP LT
It was out by 90*.
So I had to heat and bend my existing AIR tube to get it to fit. What bullshit for $1400 ...
As for the problem above, sorry to hear of your problems, the place you got them from sent you the wrong ones!!There are 2 styles.Mine fit fine
While attempting to button up my FLPs this evening, I couldn't get the AIR tube on the driver's side to align.

Because when I bought my FLP's they were made for 98-99's (mine is an 01'), and the air tubes are at different angles. When MTI installed mine they put on those 98-99' air tubes to fit. My friend with a 00' just bent his to fit.
Peace,

Anyone here have the pros and cons of both the SLP and FLP longtube headers mated with an SLP loudmouth? Which one is louder? I know that the SLP's hang lower. Which one is more reliable? Anyone?

I just swapped out Borla for the Loudmouth. The angle was a bit off. When the muffler shop was putting it on they had to cut a piece off the loudmouth to fit it, otherwise it fits fine.
I've heard that the FLP's are the easiest LT's to put on. I think it depends on what you want. If you want to be able to take your cats on or off then go with the FLP's. Just my $.02
Peace,
Craig.

Slowhawk- are you still running offroad pipes or cats?

Matter's what day it is I ran Cats most of the summer, but now offroads for my track outings.Only takes me 10 minutes to switch them out now.
Crazy install with the jacks!! Do you have to put O2 sensors on if you are running the high flow cats?

I did an FLP install for a , ahem... friend. Did it on jackstands, and while it might not have been the most comfortable position to be in for several hours, the install wasn't bad at all. The FLPs are the best quality headers I have ever seen. The price is kinda step, but when you compare what you get (headers, install kit, cats, offroad pipes, and y-pipe) it's actually a very good deal. All that stuff would cost you more than 1300-1400 dollars from other manufactorers.
We also had the 90* problem but we purposely bought 01/02 headers for the 00 cause we wanted to eliminate the EGR provisions. It only took a bench vise and a little elbow grease to fix the problem. No biggy.
Great headers!

Crager, why loudmouth over borla? I went the other way.... Corsa over Loudmouth.
Steve

I was getting tired of the Borla and its rasp, plus it's pretty heavy.
I'm re-doing the y-pipe back. MTI is building me a custom 3" y-pipe, after that on the i-pipe I'll have a 3-1/2" cut-out with a QTEC electric gate, and after the cut-out is a 3-1/2" Borla XR-1 in place of the Loudmouth resonator.
