torque converter...???? is this good for my car? is this the biggest bang for the buck? whats installation run? what will it do to my factory warranty? need help guys.... i aprecciate it thanks
Re: torque converter...???? depending on the type of driving you do, but hell yeah overall. i just had a yank 3000rpm put in, luckily the shop was running a no labor charge sale to reduce amount in stock so it was well under a grand. i hit the track on the weekends and daily driver other than that, no comparison to the fun you'll have. obviously get a cooler put in before too much abuse, but driver friendly factor is high and mustang friendly not. watch the maker though, heard some companies offer high stalls built off from stock housings, however yank and vigilante are reputed to make 'em from scratch and make 'em they do. good luck launching without at least drag radials, will easily bake street tires from stand still all thru 1st and into 2nd.
Re: torque converter...???? sorry, as for warranty, most dealers will only void the areas affected by the "aftermarket" part installed. so anything with your fuel and other areas should be warranty safe. also, dont be surprised if the car feels like it shifts "softer", i am still trying to find the best cure, either reprogram or shift kit? anyone have input? as for best bang, although it's not a horsepower adder, it does allow you to utilize the power more efficeintly, besides it is down right fun on running from light to light with traction control off.
