I ain't exactly overjoyed with my SLP version. Had a home ported stocker, I can swap them at the track and I can't tell a difference at all in mph. 150 bucks down the drain. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Well, to actually answer your question *ahem*...both would be about the same. THe SLP 85mm MAF is the exactly same piece off the 6.0 Truck motor with an SLP sticker on it. GMHTP did a dyno test with one...and right after they put it on it lost hp, but 700 miles later they dynoed it again and it had gained back the lost power+added about 8 more to the rear wheels. Not too shabby

WHat about a granatelli cold-air tuned MAF sensor. I have one in my closet and I don't know whether I should install it.
WHat do you guys think ?
Will I lose power ?

I bought the SLP 85mm and I have mixed emotions with it. It took about 500 miles for the computer to learn the damn thing. The cool thing is that the SLPer revs to 6k, my car used to poop on its face @ 5500k. Expect to lose some throttle respone, its normal with larger MAF's.

Well If anyone wants one I have one for $100 bucks used very little, It came off my 01 Z28 it's an SLP unit and the screen has been removed.
If anyone is interested E-mail me and I'll send some picks. I'm going to put it on E-bay in a few days.

While it may be the same CORE, the SLP is designed to work the LS1 calibrations. A virgin 6.0 ZO6/Truck MAF are NOT.

Re: Go with SLP 85 mm MAf, or the Z06 85mm MAF???
My PACE "VV" ZO6 85mm MAFS has worked great for me. The two PACE units available are both calibrated for the LS1 F-body. I've had my descreened velocity volume MAFS for a year now and have had no problems with it. I won't get the full benefit until I add more power, which will be a cam and LT's in the near future, but for now I have it dialed in using a MAFT and picked up ~ 9 rwhp from it.

Re: Go with SLP 85 mm MAf, or the Z06 85mm MAF???
I tried a 6.0 maf.off a new truck, having the luxury of working at a dealer, well it lost 4rwhp and never came back.the throttle response sucked too, it is definately different. there is a simple mod to the maf that works well. There is a plastic maf ends kit, just swap the ends ,10 minute job,it is smooth inside and slightly larger but uses stock plumbing.Instant 7rwhp and better throttle response similar to lid swap.I got mine at Vinci Hi performance in Orlando.
