loudmouth and dealership i brought my car into the dealer today.. for an SES light, and oil change.. i had a whipser lid and holley filter, i removed that and put back the old factory parts..( i was told they can blame problems on that)..
would the loudmouth effect any kind of warranty??

Re: loudmouth and dealership I think the dealer would have a hard time justifying a voided warranty due to a cat back exhaust. As long as you DO NOT TOUCH the y-pipe and cats you shouldn't have any problems.
Re: loudmouth and dealership Good luck with the dealer, I took my 00' Z in for a SES light last week. After 20min the dealer called me up and said my car was done. I get there ask the service manager about the problem and he said "well, you have a lean condition, but since you have replaced the factory filter with a K&N, we can't do anything until you put the factory one back in." Of course I was really pissed off seeing how I just called them and asked prior and was told don't worry about it. Now for the real kick in the happ sack, I was charged $95.00 for the GDMF'ing scan. What a crock of SH*T. As explained by the service rep, any, ANY mod you do that in turn somehow effect the SES set-off may (MAY) void the warranty for that repair/diagnosis. FWIW I plan on buying my own diagnostic tools now, besides I will be able to help out the other guys that are speedfreaks and would other wise get raped. Hope you have an understanding dealer, although many dealers offered the LM and other SLP products on new cars as options you never know.

Re: loudmouth and dealership Ummmm.... Not that it matters to the dealers, but SLP cat-back should not void the warranty. If they give you that mess, then just remind them what the SS comes stock with. Granted it ain't LoudMouth, but it is SLP, "Street Legal Performance." Besides, adding just a cat back should not make you run lean, should it?

Re: loudmouth and dealership exhaust will not void the warrant (atleast it hasnt for me) i took my car in for $800 worth of work and i have LM,Lid,K&N,IAT,EGR Mod, and FRA and they didnt say a word. But there a Corvette perforamce specialist dealer so my guess is that there used to mods ???
